Breathtaking. Holy crap. Tell your friends, your mom, your grandmom. Everybody. I don't care. It was gorgeous. Most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen. The steps can be quite the workout for individuals who don't hike often. Keep that in mind. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!
Mar 2, 2026 · Google ReviewWriting this review a few months late. This is a Beautiful State Park! Camped here to explore and hike this park and also do a day trip to Helen, GA, a mountain coaster ride there, and Ruby Falls (highly recommend both 👍). Hiked both sides of the gorge and down across the bridge. I think it’s worth going down (even though we have to walk all the way back up 😆). The campground was nice and clean, lots of trees that were changing colors in mid October 2025. We had site 46. Fall season, so acorns were dropping like crazy on our camper keeping me up at night, so we pulled it forward and it was fine. The park maps had indicated our site would be near the bathhouse. But the bathhouse was under construction and not open during our visit. So we used the older bathhouse. For an older bathhouse, it was kept reasonably clean. The showers weren’t as clean, but sufficed. It’s obvious they are on point building a new one. 👍 We often take our tiny camper which doesn’t have a bathroom, so bath facilities are super important to us. I always want to see pics of the bathrooms, so I’m gonna include them in all my reviews. We camp/wander all over.
Feb 6, 2026 · Google ReviewAn amazing state park, with great waterfalls, views, and hiking areas. I lucked out and got to visit on a perfect fall morning with high water flow earlier this month. Great loop trail. If you go down to Hurricane Falls, your legs will be burning by the time you complete the stairs back up to the rim, but it’s 1000% worth it. The suspension bridge is another iconic point in this park. A few notes - after overlook 1, I didn’t find the view at Inspiration Point to be better; it’s not that far further down the trail, but it’s also not necessary. And then the parking area has a gate that isn’t opened until close to opening hours for the visitor center. I showed up early and was surprised to find a locked gate.
Nov 18, 2025 · Google ReviewThis campsite is very nice! The bathrooms were clean and spacious, which we really appreciated. There was some construction happening on the other side, and it looks like a new bathroom facility is coming soon, which is great to see. The trails were beautiful, and all the overlooks had amazing views — perfect for nature lovers. My two fur babies had the best time exploring and enjoying the outdoors! Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’re looking forward to coming back!
Oct 20, 2025 · Google ReviewBeautiful place to camp. Lots is great trails and if you’re up for it an amazing step machine aka.. the gorge stairs. Nice campground with extremely clean amenities. The gift shop ladies were super helpful and the interactive center is a must!
