A week filled with quality time and the beautiful mountains of Sapphire, NC! Rooms have been recently renovated so no complaints there (Other than the fact that I had a set of stairs to navigate). Unfortunately, all recreation was off site, but I knew that when booking room. The rec center is great - we played mini putt-putt, the claw machine in the arcade, outdoor pool and even mined for gems! The pool was a great place to hang out and just relax. There are restaurants near the rec center that are very good - Micas, Slopeside Tavern and The Library.

Jun 23, 2026 · Google ReviewWe stayed in a standard suite which is like a little mini two-story apartment. When you walk in, it's like a small living room which had a couch and TV and closet, then to the right was the downstairs which takes you to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There was a small balcony from the bedroom, there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, and a door from the bathroom connected to the kitchen, while another door from the bedroom connected to the shower which connected to the bathroom. There was plenty of cabinet space in the bathroom and in the bedroom sink as well as drawers where the TV was in the bedroom, and a fair size closet in the bedroom with several hangers. There were two hair dryers one under the cabinets in the sink in the bedroom and one under the cabinet in the sink in the bathroom. When we checked in we made a point to ask for extra towels over the course of our stay, and they came through with delivering them on our door, so we did not have any shortage of towels. The water pressure in the shower was less than I would have liked but it was nice that it also featured a detachable wand style shower head. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans and silverware and a large coffee pot for brewing your own coffee. The freezer also had a working ice maker. There was also a washer and dryer which we made use of and worked well. There was a small bottle of dish soap, a small package of laundry soap, and even a roll of paper towels and a dish sponge in the kitchen. We were comfortable here, but the main drawbacks were the amenities were about 2 mi away from where you actually are staying. The indoor pool was under construction but the outdoor pool, the hot tubs and sauna were working. The gym was above par with plenty of things to choose from and lots of treadmills. A small arcade room had two pool tables and two ping pong tables, you need quarters to play the pool, and there were some small arcade games with a change machine as well. We did not play putt-putt but it was fun to go out there and look at it. What would have made this better is if the pool hours were extended to at least 10 or 11:00 p.m. with adult swimming times between 8pm and 10pm or nine 9pm and 11pm. Another drawback was that our neighbors activities could be heard easily, their walking around was right above our room where we slept, and we could hear them listening to their TV in the room next to us when we entered the front door. It would have been nice if these units include some kind of floor or oscillating fan which would help to drown out such noises. One feature I like was that the outlet socket in the bathroom had a built-in night light so you could see if you had to go in there in the dark. The check-in process was easy, I thought our questions were answered and taken care of. Since the actual suites or basically like renovated townhomes up behind the Sapphire golf course, be aware that the roads up here are somewhat curvy and very hilly because you are in a mountainous area. If you're not used to it at night it can be somewhat challenging. We ate at Mica's Mountain Kitchen as well as Casa Amigos Bar & Grill which are both very close by options and were good, I found the Mexican restaurant to be above par and would recommend them. There is an Ingles Market in a small shopping center as well as Dollar general just about 10 minutes down the road from the resort so if you want to use your kitchen you can go there to get groceries. The microwave was the tiniest I think I've ever seen so don't expect to be able to cook anything large in there. And while the stove/oven was skinny, it worked well for cooking breakfast.

Jun 12, 2026 · Google ReviewWe stayed here for a wedding in Highlands, NC and the room was excellent. Everything is very clean, well stocked and Nicholas, at check-in, was very friendly and helpful. However, we docked one star because the website is misleading. It said that there were hot springs on site and that is not the case. It also stated that hot springs were nearby and that is also not the case. We were disappointed about that for sure.
