I was recently at the Dillard House for a retreat and we got 5 star service. I stayed in the recently renovated Paddock and it was spacious and clean. The thing I noticed the most was how quiet it was. I never once heard anything outside of my room. Our retreat had breakfast and lunch catered by the Dillard House and the food was phenomenal. The fresh apple butter on the biscuits were divine and their beef stew was some of the best I ever had. They also catered a dessert social that included the best Banana Pudding I've ever eaten, don't tell my Nana! The place is under renovation but it won't really impact your stay. The banquet room was huge. We had around 100 attendees and had ample room to spread out and enough room for a separate eating area. It was still a little too cool to use the pool but it was available, spacious, and seemed clean. I can't wait to come back next year!
May 23, 2026 · Google ReviewThe Dillard House Restaurant is a great place to experience traditional Southern cooking in a beautiful mountain setting. The family-style meals are plentiful, with a good variety of classic dishes brought right to the table. The fried chicken, vegetables, and homemade sides were especially enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the surrounding scenery adds to the overall experience. Service was friendly and efficient, although some of the dishes were better than others, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, it’s a unique dining experience with generous portions and authentic Southern hospitality. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Jun 2, 2026 · Google ReviewHad lunch. First time we've been in years, especially since the remodel. April was our server. Had lunch here for the first time in years, especially since the remodel, and we were very impressed! April was our server and she was incredibly sweet and attentive — you could truly tell she enjoys what she does. The food was absolutely spot on, and the updated, clean look of the restaurant is beautiful. You almost don’t recognize the place after the remodel, but the food is still just as good — if not even better! The prices are a little on the higher side, but with it being all-you-can-eat, you definitely get your money’s worth. And the bread pudding was wonderful!
