We had such a great experience on our horseback riding tour! We did the 1 1/2 hour ride and it was the perfect balance of scenic trail riding on land and riding through the water. Our tour guide was amazing and made the ride really enjoyable. The horses all looked very healthy, well cared for, and well trained, which made the experience even better. We would definitely come back again!
Jun 8, 2026 · Google ReviewThis was my first time horseback riding in several decades. The stables are newly renovated and a part of the beautiful Dillard House Resort property. The stables staff and guides were wonderful. I fell in love with my horse, Dallas. All the horses are even tempered and well cared for. The property is beautiful. My only recommendation is that the owners replace the large rocks on the trail with gravel sized rock to care for the horses hooves, because those hills going down can be hard on othe horses. Dillard Stables is a one of a kind experience. I’ll be back.
May 12, 2026 · Google ReviewWow!!! What an update but still has the familiar family style restaurant and menu with a few new items. Have been coming here since I can remember and before that my parents came as children. So glad to see the updates and hear about more in the future. It soon to be a destination vacation spot with so many features coming soon. Thank you to the new owner for investing in the community and preserving the history of such a corner stone in so many families lives.
Apr 11, 2026 · Google ReviewThe scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with majestic mountain views and the serene beauty of the Little Tennessee River. Riding through the river was hands-down the coolest part of the adventure! We were paired with two wonderful horses—sweet Tucker and the confident, natural-born leader, Dallas. Both were incredibly well-mannered and a joy to ride. Casey went above and beyond by taking tons of photos for us and sending them via text after the ride, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you're on the fence about visiting Dillard House Stables, let this be your sign: GO! You’ll be immersed in nature’s beauty! And Casey, thank you for leaving us with memories that will last a lifetime.
Oct 8, 2025 · Google ReviewPleasantly surprised. Some of the recent reviews made me wonder if we should come. I would definitely recommend going! The food was great! It has a nice upscale atmosphere but yet you still feel comfortable wearing athletic attire in the restaurant. It is family style dinner just like before. Oh and the cream corn, I could just live in it. It was SO good. For feedback, I have two items. First, please put paper towels in your restrooms. Second, our server could have been more attentive. Thankfully the manager was very attentive and picked up where the server fell short. Overall, we will be coming back and hopefully staying when the new hotel is built.
