I went to visit the “Master of Q” for the first time today! Pitmaster Kyle Bryner earned that title when he won season 6 of the food network’s BBQ Brawl with Bobby Flay. We tried the Buffalo Pork Belly Bites, The Brisket and the Country Fried Ribs. Pimento Cheese Grits, Collard Greens and Pinto Beans with sausage were the sides. They have a station with house made pickled onions, chow chow and pickles as well as a wide selection of delicious sauces. The ribs were amazing and different, smoked then breaded and fried with an Alabama white sauce drizzled over them. The brisket was juicy, flavorful and locally sourced from Brasstown Beef. The pork belly bites were crispy on the outside and perfecty accented by the Buffalo sauce. The sides were as delicious as the meats. The grits were creamy and cheesy. The beans were different from most BBQ places, more like what we call “Soup beans” here in Appalachia. Soupy pinto beans loaded with lots of smoked sausage. I topped mine with some of the house made chow chow. YUM!! I can’t wait to return and try more items from their menu. Thankfully they’re only 20 monutes away in Dillard, GA. The food is creative, scratch made and delicious! Check em out!
Dec 7, 2025 · Google ReviewI am not a BBQ guy. I generally don't like BBQ sauce and most places kinda really on sauce too much for my taste. Well this place was fantastic I had pulled pork, brisket and a cheese sausage. None of them needed sauce all were great. Melt in your mouth good. They offer 7? Different sauces I liked every one of them. Though I would say they are all heavy on viniger and I like it that way. The brisket sauce and the mustard were my favorite of the bunch. For sides we got Brunswick stew, pimento grits, and cornbread. I kinda want to try all of the sides now. They were all very good. But of the 3 the grits were the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is a little rough kinda what you would expect from a side of the road BBQ place. The service was fast and friendly. We are planning our next trip to the area so we can go back. It is that good plus the area is beautiful.
Dec 3, 2025 · Google ReviewIf you haven’t been to the award-winning Blue Hound BBQ in Dillard, GA, you are seriously missing out. This isn’t just good BBQ—it’s “make you question every other brisket you’ve ever eaten” good. Their brisket is so tender and flavorful it doesn’t even need sauce… but their sauces are so incredible that we end up dunking the homemade chips (and basically everything else on the table) in them anyway. We’ve made the 35–40 minute drive three times in just the past few months, and every single visit has been a home run—delicious food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stick around for a while. Since Kyle Bryner snagged the crown on Food Network’s “BBQ Brawl” Season 6, Blue Hound has gotten even busier—so busy, in fact, that they sometimes sell out by the end of the day. That’s right, their food literally disappears. But no worries: you’ll still get first-class service and a smile when they take your order. Our family favorites? The brisket cheesesteak dip (melty cheese, grilled onions, and brisket heaven on a bun, with au jus for dunking), crispy homemade chips, collard greens, pork rinds, BBQ and collard green egg rolls (these will make you want to slap your mama) … and yes, we’ve tried them all. Don’t skip their topping bar either—pile on briny pickles, chow chow, and pickled red onions to take your BBQ to the next level. So here’s the deal: if you’re anywhere near Dillard, GA—whether you’re headed to Cherokee, NC, or Gatlinburg, TN—make the stop. Just look for the giant pink pig in the parking lot (you literally can’t miss it). And when you’re done eating, wander into the nearby shops to walk off your brisket coma. Trust us: Blue Hound BBQ is worth every mile.
Oct 4, 2025 · Google ReviewSome of the best food and sides we’ve had at a barbecue restaurant.. and we’ve eaten at a lot of amazing barbecue places. I had the Rachel turkey sandwich and it was the best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. My husband had BBQ and he said it was some of the best he ever had. All of the sides & sweets we ordered: cornbread, sweet potatoes, grits, banana pudding, and mac & cheese were all amazing.
Feb 19, 2026 · Google ReviewMy husband and I drove 3 hours to this amazing place. After we watched Kyle become the “Master of Que”, we knew we needed to make the trip. We were not disappointed. Everything was beyond delicious, and the portions were more than ample. We enjoyed the brisket, pulled pork, turkey, and ribs (the best ribs we’ve ever tasted). All were so good that we didn’t use any sauce, even though they had a sauce bar to try them all. The sides were so good, especially the Mac and cheese and the potato salad. We will definitely be back to try that famous sausage next time. Congratulations Blue Hound BBQ! Y’all are amazing!!
