My first visit outside of Franklin to a new restaurant that I have heard about through a friend has been great. Upon arriving outside the small building, it had a nice logo while driving down the road. The outside doesn't impress, but once you walk inside, you are introduced to a nice old fashion Bar-B-Que joint with old smokers, antique items, and a southern appeal. I walked up to order a brisket with cheese grits, toast, and beans from a menu with a great number of different options to choose from. to the right they have a suace station that is full of different Bar-B-Que flavors ranging from vingar, honey, and sweet Bar-B-Que sauces. The topping station also has a great deal of things that you can put on top of your meats that can help enhance the flavor if you so choose. To the left you have some merchandise they sale like shirts, hats, sauces, and spices, although you will have to ask what the price is. When I sat down the service was pretty fast about getting the food out in about 10 minutes and then began to enjoy my meal. The brisket is hands down some of the best Bar-B-Que meat I tried in a long time. The side where also seasoned nicely and just as good as the main course. Although, when I finished up my meal, I noticed that some of the tables and floor where dirty, which is something that should be cleaned when people leave and new ones come into to get seated at. The servers were okay, and didn't seem to care much about there lobby area, but other then that, this restaurant has some nice charm and great food if you are coming through Dillard and need a bite to eat.
May 10, 2026 · Google ReviewFirst BBQ restaurant I've ever been to where all the sauces were delicious, all the meat was delicious, and there was plenty of sides and they were all delicious. Everyone who worked in the restaurant was super friendly, helpful, just good people. We've been driving by this place since they opened, and they were always super busy. We finally could go on a weekday afternoon and are so glad that we did. This scratches every single itch that I have for barbecue and really just good food. Overall, I would say this is one of the top restaurants within 100 miles. We got the Johnny Cash platter which is a LOT of food, we got the pork belly, pulled pork sandwich, we tried every single sauce, and they have a pickle, jalapeno, what I would call like a chow chow relish station where you can basically get all of that you want. Again, I highly suggest going on a weekday afternoon to avoid the crowds. The food was just as good, it hadn't been sitting around or anything. The platter had some of everything and every bit of it was delicious. I also went around back and got a little tour of the smokehouse. It was impressive. They have a lot of good equipment and they know how to use it. The restaurant is clean and the outside dining area is large.
May 7, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is what a true BBQ spot should look like, block pits for whole hog, plenty of smokers outside, and seasoned wood ready to go. No surprise that the owner of Blue Hound BBQ won BBQ Brawl on the Foodnetwork (Kyle Bryner). Slow down, open your eyes; and you might just see this hidden gem in Dillard Georgia. Ribs and Brisket were really good, the pulled pork had a little more pepper than I expected, but good bark on the pork and brisket. Stew was good, collards needed to cook longer (but good flavor) same could be said of the grits, just needed more time. If you want some more veggies, the broccolli slaw was nice. No fries or okra, so I'm guessing they don't have a fryer. From a seasoned pitmaster, this was worth the stop if you want legit BBQ. Also, they had plenty of sauce options, my preferred was the Brisket Sauce, it was great on all the proteins.
May 1, 2026 · Google ReviewIt is a great little barbecue place!!! The Smashburger is my ultimate favorite, followed by the pulled pork and brisket! I also love their mac & cheese and the french fried potato chips. The burger has these fresh dill topped pickles that you can also have extra of at their sidebar. Also topped w grilled onions s and a special secret sauce that is somewhat of a mix or ketchup, mustard, and some other flavor that I can’t figure out topped on it, but it is the best.
Jun 19, 2026 · Google ReviewExcellent from start to finish! You know it’s gonna be good when the delicious smells from the pit hit you in the parking lot. Brisket and smoked turkey were both very flavorful, moist, and tender. Sides were delicious. Friendly staff and great outdoor dining. We’ll definitely be back!
