Hawaii's waterfalls have nothing on Minnehaha Falls—this is definitely the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen. I have to admit, the drive there can be a little intimidating. You'll travel along a secluded dirt road with plenty of curves, but as you get closer, you'll catch breathtaking glimpses of Lake Rabun and the beautiful lake homes surrounding it. The scenery alone is worth the trip. However, nothing compares to the reward waiting at the end: Minnehaha Falls. Keep an eye out for the small sign marking the entrance—if you blink, you might miss it. Park along the side of the road and begin the short hike up the stairs through a heavily wooded area. Once you arrive, you'll be greeted by a spectacular waterfall tucked away in nature. You can either sit on one of the natural rock ledges and simply take in the beauty around you, or carefully climb the rocks and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool water below the falls. Minnehaha Falls is one of those rare places that makes you feel completely connected to nature. Peaceful, beautiful, and unforgettable, it's a hidden gem that should not be missed. ✨🌿💦

There is an unpaved road leading to the parking lot. Parking was free. It is a short walk to the falls. The path does have a lot of roots so it’s not for anyone with mobility issues. The water fall was stunning. There is a large flat stone right in front that was perfect for sitting and admiring the falls. The trail is well maintained, there were actually workers with chainsaws clearing downed trees while I was there.

A new favorite waterfall. About 500 feet from the road. Nifty stairsteps stones all the way up. Pull at the bottom that you can wait in if you want to though it’s cold. Curvy dirt road to get there. Parking for about eight cars.

These falls were our favorite. They’re wayyy out the way. But once you get there, there’s only one set of steps to reach them. There’s no visitor center or gate or employee to ask, just a sign at the bottom of the steps signing you have arrived. The area is just so beautiful and the houses built by the river are works or art! These falls are worth the drive and feeling of being lost. You’ll know what I mean if venture out.
