Ed HendersonThis is a mostly fantastic convenience store but for the next three or so years it's going to be impacted by the incessant road construction along US Highway 441. Friendly staff, very good selection. The only place where they come up woefully inadequate is the mismanagement of the CEO, Tom Bower. Why oh why does this man put huge multi fountain soda fountain machines in his stores and then strips away any authority for his on-site store managers to have any ability to order repairs on their equipment or work with vendors to make sure that all Fountain positions have product on a consistent basis? The Rabun Gap Clipper Exxon is notorious for out of order, make other selection signage. We're not talking for a week or two. This location is Infamous for having this crap go on for years without resolution. The only site managers are so exhausted from talking to upper management who are incapable of lifting a finger to address the issue. A fountain position without product or with a maintenance issue would be immediately dealt with by The Professional management of any QuikTrip or RaceTrac but the collection of old geezers who are Bower's Buddies can't trouble themselves to even read the reports when these things reach the corporate office. Where QuikTrip and RaceTrac would deal with the actual maintenance issue within hours, Clipper has a social media person that immediately takes down any mention of this ongoing disaster on any of their social media. They shake in their shoes in fear of speaking truth to power as Tom Bower remains naively and blissfully ignorant that is Fountain machines are among the the worst in the c-store industry.
