Beautiful area and well-groomed hiking trail. We enjoyed hiking from the trail head to the waterfall and back. It was easy most of the way with a few steep spots. There were only a few people there besides us, and quite a few were biking on another trail. The area was so clean and peaceful that I hate to share its location. Note that the state road to get to the trail head is not paved and can be difficult to drive. Rain had damaged some parts before our arrival. I suggest no small cars as your under carriage could get damaged by large rocks embedded in the road.
Apr 21, 2023 · Google ReviewNice open main bicycle trail with many other trails attached. 3 beautiful waterfalls with .5 mile. Stonewall, upper and lowers Stonewall. Google will stop you about 300 feet before trailhead. Trailhead to the left past a FS gate.
Aug 6, 2025 · Google ReviewPrevious reviewers gave good advice. Continue past the trailhead about 300 yards and there’s a parking area on the left. At the trailhead itself, there are “no parking” signs. To get to the waterfall, from the trailhead stay on the wider, mostly graveled path. It goes directly to the waterfall in about 0.75 mile from the trailhead. There are multiple dirt single track paths for mountain biking that cross the main one. The drive in to the trailhead is a one lane gravel forest road; we were glad to be in a 4WD truck.
Jun 11, 2023 · Google ReviewAbsolutely beautiful hike and falls. Don’t take Googles Directions on road to turn on. Go past it and look for next road where you see signs for the White Twister bike trails. Once you get to parking area, walk down to first barricade you saw. Stay on main fire road and you can’t miss the falls.
Jun 19, 2020 · Google ReviewNote - this is the TRAILHEAD, meaning the entrance. It will take a bit to get back to the falls. From Old 441/ South Main Street, look for the enterance on the west side of the road. There is a small brown US Forestry Dept sign. The main marker is part of a water treatment facility right there. You turn onto a dirt/gravel road. I would not take a car back there with lower ground clearance. You would probably be anle to do it, but might scrape in a couple sections. From the turn it is 1.2 miles back to the trailhead (fireroad) where you will hike by foot. There is a barrier up (see photo). Less than another 0.1 of a mile past this is an area to park. From the barrier to the falls is 0.4 mile. STAY ON THE FIREROAD. There are lots of nice hiking trails that turn off the fireroad, they WILL NOT get you to the falls. If you want an exact trail, I've added it in Strava as a segment which will help with the navigation. The water around the falls is relatively shallow. Great for kids to play in. Lots of shade and a beautiful location.
