Darren Volk explained my injury and the process of recovery beautifully. Although I had many, many suggestions of things I thought I could do to speed up the process, he made it very clear that time and rest were the fastest and best solutions for me. He performed dry needling weekly to help with the pain and answered my endless questions with patience. I highly recommend Dosher Physical Therapy!!

With a completely torn Achilles Tendon and a busted rotator cup shoulder this 79 year old male painfully sought help from physical therapy at Dosher in Clayton. I entered with a medical booted foot and crutches. I was greeted by a delightful receptionist/ scheduler welcoming me to rehab. I was quickly ushered in to meet my expected tormentor, the Physical Therapist. This wonderful young man, Darian, with a UGA master’s degree in Physical Therapies. He Interviewed me and it was obvious he had intently reviewed the Orthopedic Surgeon’s instructions and diagnosis. Insuring I was comfortable he tested my range of motion of my arm and shoulder with great care. He examined my booted foot, ankle and calf. Made notes and then explained in detail his plan to help me gain natural movements and heal. A Schedule was set and I spent the next 7 weeks under the care of these professionals. I rapidly began to recover faster than I ever dreamed. I was given specific exercises, movements and techniques to stretch, strengthen and stimulate my injured limbs. I preformed these on site under supervision and diligently repeated them at home and our Athletic Center in between visits to Dosher offices. Darian took measurements of my strength and ranges of motion and recorded them. These records reflected my success and recovery. I’m still happily recovering and only slowed by the insurance bureaucracy approving more visits.These folks are professionals and I cannot adequately express my gratitude for their caring and dedication care! I recommend them 1000%. But remember, they only help you help yourself. Listen and follow their directions, communicate with them your discomfort levels and concerns. They have to craft a rehabilitation program to fit your condition, issues and fitness levels and determination. You must follow their directions to help yourself.Great dedicated folks helping those needing specialized instructions and directions to a healthy recovery. Thanks Dosher for helping me!

Both my husband and I have benefited from therapy with Darren. He’s professional and incredibly good at what he does. He helped my husband work through a pinched nerve and helped him reset posture within a few sessions when he had been in pain for months. Amazing! We are so thankful for how much he has helped us both.

I’ve been seeing Darren Volk at Dosher Physical Therapy for 8 sessions now for my knees. I am thrilled with the improvement! I can run down the stairs again (on a good day) and before I started I had to take the steps one at a time. It involves some work and homework, too. But my improvement is undeniable!
