They took the time to understand my needs and recommended the perfect gear for the local waters, all without any pressure to buy. The real highlight, though, was the guided trip. My guides were not only experts in the area but also exceptional teachers. They had an uncanny ability to read the water and knew exactly where the fish would be holding. Their tips and tricks improved my casting and presentation dramatically, and I was catching fish in no time. But what truly set this experience apart was the enthusiasm and genuine love for the sport. Man, I love this shop. I don’t get here as much as I’d like to. Really give a sense you could come in sit down and drink a cup of coffee and just run your mouth for about an hour.

This is what a fly shop is all about. Family owned and run. Could not be any nicer, and helpful. Had a great guide from them and learned a lot. Go buy your next fly fishing item from them, no matter what it is. Very important to support local fly shop.

My mother bought me some flies from this shop for Christmas. They treated her so well that I went there and bought some felt boots. These boots changed my life. I can traverse upstream over any rocks to cast into any hole or eddy. I cover more water and catch more fish. The team at The Chattooga River Fly Shop are actually there to help you.
