Poor management, and terrible emergency phone number, they know NOTHING. We called the resort three times to tell them we would be in on Monday instead of Sunday and the 800 number at least three times concerned that we were going to be a day late . No one ever told us the office was closed on Monday for a holiday. So we were stuck in a room with no View which we requested. The next morning when we wanted to change rooms with a view, it would be $100 for cleaning fee. So we didn't move, our one time being there and had no view, the view room sat empty. Room was old, and alot of stink bugs. The pool closed that day, despite it was 80° hot and sunny. Had our key for pool been in lock box we could have used it the day before it closed. The indoor hot tub has 1 jet working in the whole tub. Had reservations at golf course restaurant for husband birthday . They even called to confirm, we show up excited and hungry, and they are closed!!! No one let us know. It was a Saturday, sweetest day at that. So experience not very good. The area is pretty, but this resort is not well ran.

This was an Amazing Resort and Timeshare!! We needed a Showe curtain and mat,and Kevin and Evan brought the shower Curtain within an hour!! The bath mat was brought,brand new the next day!! We spoke with Kevin on Tuesday, 04/23/25 at 11am and Kevin assisted us with the cable channels and the dvr!! Kevin told my husband Mark how to work the remotes and then mentioned that, Kevin was the maintenance man that just remodeled the unit we were in,and my husband Mark and I were the first ones to use this after he did his, Kevin, first unit and was in talks to replace the counter tops in the kitchen with butcher Block!! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!! All week long!! And Alyssa in the office was awesome as well!! So happy and excited to help!!

I’ve been a visitor to Sky Valley 1-3 times a year for 40 years. My dad owned a condo there in the 80s. I’ve been a timeshare owner for 25 years. Sky Valley is so peaceful and beautiful and a refreshment to the soul. If you’re a golfer it’s a real treat. Fantastic course in fantastic condition. A well kept up property throughout. The units are dated but not dilapidated. They’re clean and supplied. Some units are more dated than others because each group of buildings is comprised of its own timeshare condo association. As owners have simply walked away and quit paying their annual fees in recent years some associations have suffered from tight funds. It’s not the fault of Timeshares of Sky Valley, instead an overall trend in timeshares. As an owner we get a copy of the annual budget and expenditures. Fees have increased for owners every year and continue to and they’re doing the best with what they got. Compared to VRBO and Airbnb rates it’s a bargain though. We’ve shopped around staying near Sky Valley during other times and have found the SV rates work out less. Our unit has seen a new balcony and steps, a nice new king bed, tv, recliners, appliances, outdoor lighting. But they were built in the 70s and never had a complete overhaul so if you’re looking for luxurious accommodations this isn’t it. But most have beautiful views and are comfortable. And this is a great central location with so much to do. If you’re not into hiking to waterfalls, or exploring nature this may not be for you. On the other hand there are tons of things to do by simply doing searches for Rabun County and Macon County. If you’re looking for high end boutiques and great restaurants then you’re near Highlands. I can only speak to my experiences with management and the couple of times I needed help with something it was taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. I had an issue on our last stay and it was handled quickly, professionally and with genuine concern. I find that to be so rare anymore and I was impressed.

Great place to stay. I have owned a time share here for 30 years. I enjoy coming to golf, relaxing, taking photos, and walking all the national and state parks. Over looks a beautiful golf course.while an older building, the one - two bedroom condos are comfortable and cheap. I just bought a second 2 bedroom unit for under $1,000. You can also rent units without owning right now. Was not affected by recent huricains.
