My son was a patient in ICU for several weeks. He was treated with professionalism, empathy, and a caring staff. The hospital had undergone some renovations and was nicely done and very clean. Very accommodating to family members. Most unfortunately, my son passed away, even though they had given him the best medical attention available. The nursing staff in ICU was outstanding, as well as the Chaplains on site.

I've had to got here for a concussion, COVID, and for a 4 cm hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. I was in a bed within 3 hours for the cyst and concussion, and 4 hours for COVID when they were slammed (pulse ox of 92 so I was low priority). I saw a doctor all three times. I was given proper medication for pain and breathing issues both times. I had some issues when I went in for COVID with my breathing treatment but they were also very busy. I was thankful to have a bed, even in the hallway. They treated me with respect and answered all of my questions. This is the BEST emergency room in Gainesville. An extra nice thing: they put me in a chair to receive treatment for my concussion but I was in the corner and the curtains didn't close around me. The bright lights we're making my concussion worse so I used a hair claw clip to pull the curtains closed. Every single nurse and doctor that came in literally clipped the curtains closed behind them when they came / went. I thought I might get in trouble for it but they thought it was genius.

My wife had heart bypass surgery recently. You want the best for your loved ones. The facility was excellent in every way. The doctors and staff was competent and caring. Even the food was pretty good. Free parking

As the daughter of a mother with type 1 diabetes I grew up at this hospital. Staff and Doctors have always been friendly and kind. Now, As an adult with several auto immune diseases along with a couple of near death experiences that began at the age of 45 Due to a pancreas infection then leading to life support for 2 weeks with A.R.D.S and a month long stay. Then again a year later with pneumonia,RSV and Covid. I have to say this hospital and team without them; I would not be here to leave this review. I am more than aware of how lucky I am that these professional, qualified, Doctors, Nurses, staff, cooks,and janitorial services etc. saved me and they exist. So much so, that instead of taking my chemo treatments at the Doctor's office; I requested to have them at this facility for life and continue to trust in them with my care. Thank you to everyone for your professionalism. P.S We have to remember that not only are these folks taking care of us they are taking care of many more, some whom may be in more need at that moment. Kindness goes both ways. 💛 Danielle M Emmett

This place treated my son very well. He is recovering well due to the great bedside manner and professional staff. I could name off every nurse and tech and even janitoirs in the surgery trauma unit. This place was beautiful with amazing food too.
