Loved this venue! It was a "perfect" stop, affordable, well-maintained and well worth the drive. We packed a lunch, took our fishing poles and our cooler with a few cold drinks, that was all we needed. Highlights are: 1) special places designated for seniors and kids to fish where you can actually see the fish. 2) It cost us 6 bucks to park, entry was free. 3) You can buy any supplies you need when you pay to park at the cool entrance store. 4) It's right next door to the fish hatchery which is a free educational experience. They release fish into the water just above this place twice a week which helps ensure fishing success 🙌 . 5) It's an RV camp, a vacation spot and a glorious place to commune with nature. 6) There's a boat ramp and lots of swings and benches and picnic tables around for your enjoyment and relaxation. All in all " we loved Mocassin Creek State Park"!! It turned out to be the highlight of our vacation because we went back to where we were staying with fresh trout to cook on our grill for dinner. That was way cool !
Jun 26, 2025 · Google ReviewIt is Georgia's smallest State Park. It is a campground on the lake with a dock and boat launch. They also have a restricted fishing area for kids and Senior Adults.
Nov 1, 2025 · Google ReviewVery nice place. Restrooms are very clean. Fishing on the creek is a plus. Several places to sit and enjoy your coffee with a water view. I would have given a 5 star if campsites had more privacy.
