So beautiful! Great place to camp. They have a bathhouse too
Dec 10, 2025 · Google Reviewif you You don't know anything about dispersed camping It is considered an on your own. Bring everything yourself sort of deal. Grapevine campground is just under that sort of no dependability level. They do provide trash cans. There is a crude restroom area and you do have to camp within these certain areas that are designated by numbers. The campsites are right along the river for the most part. And when I mean right along if you roll over after you can't, you might roll into the river. My only complaint is is that you're going to pretty much have to bring it on firewood because it is completely scavenged up in the area because of the number of people that visit. Also if you come in the middle of the night, be prepared to have people complaining to you because I came at a very late hour one night because I was late from work and still planned on camping and some people are not so pleased about me rolling up there at midnight. I really can't fault them for that but there is not hours of operation as far as it goes for setting up camp. There is no cost which makes it awesome. And you can park your car almost right next to the campsites. The road to get there is not too rough in a car. Can make it but be prepared to be tossed around a little bit in your vehicle. I highly suggest bringing a chainsaw with because if a storm comes through while you're camping, there's a good chance that some trees are going to come down on the road back out since it is several miles long. Me and my dog who had to be kept on a restraint the whole time but otherwise was left. Unbothered enjoyed it thoroughly and plan on coming back many many times.
Mar 9, 2026 · Google ReviewThis is beautiful campground. Toilet building was clean. Grounds were a little trashed from previous folks but overall it was amazing. Would stay here again. Would live here if I could.
May 21, 2021 · Google ReviewWe love trout fishing at grapevine. Easy access to the water for everyone. Stays well stocked and lots of fun. Usually not very crowded during the week. Never camped, but have seen lots of people doing it.
