The last little bit of the way getting to the "narrows" is treacherous because you have to climb on slippery rocks next to the river. I would definitely not bring a child here. However, without going on the scary dangerous part, you can get to the falls which are pretty. (You still have to climb up and down steep parts, over downed trees, and climb through rhododendron even to get to the falls, but it's doable) If you want to see a good waterfall, go to Issaqueena falls instead, which is nearby, safer, much taller and very pretty.
Sep 21, 2025 · Google ReviewVery cool area. Trail was hard to follow and not traveled much but rapids were really pumping through there. Moderate hiking. Hard to find path from road; trail starts on side of river that has old metal bridge.
Nov 26, 2022 · Google ReviewThe first half is good, the last half is a lot of going over rocks and trees and up and down the banks! Lots of trees down on the paths!
Oct 9, 2025 · Google ReviewGreat falls, but lots of downed trees on anglers trail to the falls. Made it more difficult, but worth it.
Mar 30, 2022 · Google ReviewNOT on private property. (I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be forestry service signs about fishing allowed 🙄). I guess if you park in someone's front yard to get there, you'd be passing thru private property but I read that review before returning and it's simply untrue. Anyway, yes it's grown over, but short & neat for what it is.
