Such a great place!. The smell of the barbecued meat welcomes you before you even enter. The dinning area inside is quaint, filled with great photos and art. They also have an outdoor area with picnic tables. The food is great!! We had the brisket sandwich, the Cowboy Reuben Sandwich, the House fries, the sweet potato sweet crunch and the grandma banana pudding. We loved everything, although we found the banana pudding way too sweet for our taste buds. Highly recommend!! Their barbecue sauce was also outstanding!! Great place to eat!!

My first visit outside of Franklin to a new restaurant that I have heard about through a friend has been great. Upon arriving outside the small building, it had a nice logo while driving down the road. The outside doesn't impress, but once you walk inside, you are introduced to a nice old fashion Bar-B-Que joint with old smokers, antique items, and a southern appeal. I walked up to order a brisket with cheese grits, toast, and beans from a menu with a great number of different options to choose from. to the right they have a suace station that is full of different Bar-B-Que flavors ranging from vingar, honey, and sweet Bar-B-Que sauces. The topping station also has a great deal of things that you can put on top of your meats that can help enhance the flavor if you so choose. To the left you have some merchandise they sale like shirts, hats, sauces, and spices, although you will have to ask what the price is. When I sat down the service was pretty fast about getting the food out in about 10 minutes and then began to enjoy my meal. The brisket is hands down some of the best Bar-B-Que meat I tried in a long time. The side where also seasoned nicely and just as good as the main course. Although, when I finished up my meal, I noticed that some of the tables and floor where dirty, which is something that should be cleaned when people leave and new ones come into to get seated at. The servers were okay, and didn't seem to care much about there lobby area, but other then that, this restaurant has some nice charm and great food if you are coming through Dillard and need a bite to eat.

First BBQ restaurant I've ever been to where all the sauces were delicious, all the meat was delicious, and there was plenty of sides and they were all delicious. Everyone who worked in the restaurant was super friendly, helpful, just good people. We've been driving by this place since they opened, and they were always super busy. We finally could go on a weekday afternoon and are so glad that we did. This scratches every single itch that I have for barbecue and really just good food. Overall, I would say this is one of the top restaurants within 100 miles. We got the Johnny Cash platter which is a LOT of food, we got the pork belly, pulled pork sandwich, we tried every single sauce, and they have a pickle, jalapeno, what I would call like a chow chow relish station where you can basically get all of that you want. Again, I highly suggest going on a weekday afternoon to avoid the crowds. The food was just as good, it hadn't been sitting around or anything. The platter had some of everything and every bit of it was delicious. I also went around back and got a little tour of the smokehouse. It was impressive. They have a lot of good equipment and they know how to use it. The restaurant is clean and the outside dining area is large.

Excellent from start to finish! You know it’s gonna be good when the delicious smells from the pit hit you in the parking lot. Brisket and smoked turkey were both very flavorful, moist, and tender. Sides were delicious. Friendly staff and great outdoor dining. We’ll definitely be back!

We passed by this place multiple times and wonder if we should stop by. One time we pulled in the parking on the gas station side, but decided to leave because the outside didn’t look pleasant. After a few months, someone mentioned that the food was good, so we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, we were surprised that the inside was decent. It’s a standing in line to order, pay and find your own table. The place was packed. It took us a long time to get to the cashier. Then, the tables were full. We were waiting for a while and found an outside table closed to the gas station. There were more customers looking for a table, so we let them shared our table. I got brisket platter with sweet potatoes and salad. It came with a piece of bread. My partner got ribs platter. They were good. With the time and trouble, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it. However, we saw the next table having this huge thing with a big bone. We couldn’t help to ask what was it. She said it called a dinosaur bone. So, we went back in line to order it to take home with some side dishes thinking that our puppy will enjoy the big bone. The cashier mentioned that it’s a longer wait for this dish, so we asked for two bones. When it’s time to pay, we were shock that it was around $80 a bone. Anyway after we got home, we opened this big box and OMG they were enormous. We both could have shared one. The seasoning was just right and the meat was falling off the bones. We were very happy with every bite and our puppy enjoined the bones too. To sum it all up, yes we will go out of our way to get it again. I think the lady said they only have it on Saturday. We were so lucky to be there that day. It’s worth the time and money! We love Blue Hound BBQ!
