Sherri WynnTook a hike today on Tennessee Rock Trail (2 mi). It’s a loop that starts off very steep but levels off about .2 in. Spring was a beautiful time to take the trail. There hadn’t been much rain so it was steady but could have been rough if it had been wet. Afterward I headed up to the visitor’s center. Decent public restrooms. The overlook here was beautiful. I had been to the overlook in the fall as well. I can’t decide which is better. Spring or fall - both are stunning. Guess you’ll have to decide for yourself!

Tootsie Roll PatrolBeautiful, high up state Park. I believe the tallest in GA. Narrow, windy road heading up to the top( about 10 minutes from Rt23). Absolutely no shoulder, so.... Beautiful vistas. A few trails to hike. Primitive camping and standard camping available. Cottages also offered. Picnic tables. Visitor center. Need to buy a parking pass there is a QR code, or buy in store. Check out the beautiful Japanese Maple tree next to the visitor center ( on right)( before the brown elevation sign). It's still young but it's an excellent specimen. ( Red leaves) Trails were very root exposed and muddy. A fantastic park for exploring, picnicking, or just taking in the views for an hour. 5/5

Lucrative Blossom BookkeepingWent with my girls and mom to see the breathtaking fall leaf colors but wasn't yet to it's peak but the view was still absolutely gorgeous. The parking at the top makes it so easy to have a picnic without hiking up. The park was clean and family pet friendly. There’s a playground for 2yr - 5yrs, clean bathrooms and camping sites. There are short and long trails at the Black Rock Mountain. We had hit traffic on our way there and we found healthy snacks at the visitor center. We topped the day off with dinner at Chick-fil-A since it is close by. Black Rock Mountain can be a one day getaway.

Rkrdo AzvdoBlack Rock Mountain State Park is a beautiful destination with some of the most impressive mountain views in Georgia. The scenic overlooks are breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the hiking trails offer a great way to experience the area’s natural beauty. The park is well-maintained, peaceful, and perfect for a day trip or a relaxing getaway. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that some facilities and trails could use a little updating, and parking can be limited during busy times. However, the stunning scenery and tranquil atmosphere more than make up for those minor inconveniences. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy nature, take photos, hike, and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in North Georgia.
