Pet Portrait Collage

nspired by the tender, textured cat portraits found in the beloved book Wabi Sabi, you will build a large collage portrait of your own pet using layered papers, found imagery, and mixed media- embracing the Japanese aesthetic of finding beauty in the imperfect, the work and the wonderfully real.

No art experience required. Just provide a few photos of your pet a week before class and spend a few hours learning how texture, color, and value create image. You will leave with a portrait of your favorite fuzzy friend.

1 hour break at lunch...bring your own or discover downtown before coming back to complete your project.
