Kurt LMy wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending a wonderful week at Valhalla Resort in Georgia to celebrate her birthday. Philip played a huge role in making our stay special, helping me arrange the room décor from the flowers to the birthday banner and more. Ava and Antonio were outstanding for our breakfast requests; they truly went above and beyond. We even had the chance to meet Eva on her very first day she did a fantastic job. Steve and Rush, our valet team, took excellent care of us and quietly handled many things behind the scenes. Thanks again for the golf cart, guys! Jan greeted us warmly at the entrance and was a wealth of information, offering tremendous help from the start. The dinner crew Mathew and Regan delighted us with friendly service and menu suggestions; they made every meal memorable. Robert at the Staghorn also prepared a fantastic lunch, which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Chris’s role in maintenance often goes unnoticed yet he ensures everything works smoothly. Housekeeping and other staff members, though sometimes unseen, contribute significantly to our experience. To everyone whose names I didn’t mention, thank you for making our stay so memorable. We’re already looking forward to returning. As retired military folks, we truly appreciate the dedication and hard work of your team. Mr. Murdock and Gayle Stewart Murdock you should be proud. Melinda MarzicolaWe stayed in the King Suite for four nights for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is very nice with great proximity to Helen. Jan at the front desk/reception area is so friendly and provided very personalized service that made us feel really welcome. Our server in the restaurant was very sweet but not super-professional, and the food isn't spectacular - however, the prices are reasonable and it was decent enough. We ate in the Caledonia room once and in the Sky Bar once. Bartenders in the Sky Bar were great. Breakfast in-room each morning was pretty good, arrived hot, and delivery times are spot-on. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice view and a super comfortable bed. The carpet was stained, but that was really the only thing I saw that could have been improved upon there. The main reason I removed one star from the overall review was that later on Saturday night, we had what sounded like the Jerry Springer show going on in the room/balcony beneath us and though I called and reported the disturbance, it doesn't seem like anything was done - the woman continued to rage loudly and profanely for hours. We were initially sitting on the balcony enjoying a bottle of wine but moved inside and closed the balcony door to try to avoid it, but as they were directly underneath our room, a lot of the sound still traveled. Pardon the golf pun, but the experience wasn't on par with the $400 nightly rate.

Jemez_noobThe people that work are probably the nicest people I’ve ever met!! What a nice and welcoming place to stay! I’m so glad we chose this place. We went on a Monday so it wasn’t busy at all which was nice! Nice rooms and nice spa as well! Had a wonderful reflexology massage on my feet. Will definitely come back here if I go to Helen again. We had a blast!

A WarMichiela was the event coordinator for the resort, and she truly made my daughter’s micro wedding in the Great Hall an amazing experience. We used both the ceremony space and the banquet area, which made everything incredibly convenient and seamless. Planning from Florida could have been stressful, but Michiela made it so much easier. She was professional, responsive, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process—even recommending outside vendors, which made a huge difference. She was also kind and flexible, allowing us access to the space the day before to decorate, which we really appreciated. We had a sit-down dinner with bar service, and everything exceeded expectations. The salad and bread service were great, and both the filet and chicken were outstanding—delicious and served perfectly hot. The service overall was exceptional; every staff member was kind, pleasant, and attentive. They also created our wedding cake, and it turned out absolutely perfect—exactly what we had envisioned. We chose chocolate-covered strawberries and macarons for gluten-free options, and they even matched them to our color scheme, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, I truly can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was. I highly recommend Valhalla for any event—you will not be disappointed.

tiffanyWe stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable throughout our stay. Jan was especially helpful and knew all the best local spots to check out, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The restaurant was excellent—the dinner was delicious, and the drinks were perfect after a rainy day of exploring. Our room was amazing: exceptionally clean, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax and get a great night's sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!
