May 26, 2026 · Google ReviewThis place has been around forever, and my family has visited since before I was thought of. I love it. The drive up is gorgeous (especially in the fall). Bits of the old mill have been preserved and you can feed rainbow trout off the porch by the falls if it isn't too hot! You aren't too far from Helen, about 20 minutes, so it's an easy stop before or after lunch. They carry local potters' work (Helen and Gainsville) and work from other states. Because they are carrying individuals' work, it is pricey. Remember you're supporting artists, not buying something from HomeGoods.
May 23, 2026 · Google ReviewWe five sisters stayed for a long but way too short weekend in the beautiful apartment over the pottery shop below, a favorite shop for decades in our family. The wonderful white-noise song and soothing view of the river rapids from the generous deck still lives in our memory. We go on an annual trip beautiful places but this was our favorite. We went mid April and not many nearby restaurants were in their open seasons, but we brought food. We came for the river/greenery ambience. Maybe the best part besides that and our sister camaraderie was the jovial comany of handsome Matt and his happy crew with their BEAUTIFUL pottery right below us. We made a haul of gorgeous mugs and bowls and vases and plates and art pieces. Now we just wanna go BACK.
