We had such a wonderful stay at the Cherokee Cabin at Fire Mountain Estate & Club! The cabin had a rustic charm that made it feel authentic and grounding. It was cozy and comfortable, with a simple setup, like kitchen equipped only with the essentials for basic cooking and no TV, this simplicity made the experience even more special, allowing us to truly disconnect, slow down, and fully enjoy the sounds of nature all around us. The entire property is absolutely beautiful, with great mountain views, peaceful forest, beautiful flowers, trails right on the estate. One of our favorite parts was meeting the friendly horses, who were so gentle and curious, especially with our two puppies. As dog owners, we truly appreciated how pet-friendly the property is. It made our stay even more special to be able to enjoy the trails and open spaces together with our dogs. Tom and Laura were great hosts. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind every time we ran into them around the property. We can’t wait to come back!

My significant other and I had a wonderful stay at Fire Mountain Resort. The Coca-Cola Cabin was a little gem… rustic, cozy, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. It was the perfect place for a relaxing couples’ getaway and a chance to unplug from the noise of everyday life. While there’s no TV, the Wi-Fi was excellent if we needed it. Laura and Tom were exceptional hosts. They welcomed us with a thoughtful note, checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely made us feel at home. Laura was incredibly responsive and even offered us homemade chili one evening, while Tom stopped by with fire starter for our cabin fireplace. Their kindness and hospitality really stood out. One of our favorite memories was sitting in the rocking chairs each evening, watching the fireflies come out around sunset while a cozy fire crackled inside the cabin. We also enjoyed walking the peaceful property, visiting the neighbors horses, and driving to explore the nearby waterfalls and hiking trails. Even though it feels wonderfully secluded, Highlands is only about 15-20 minutes away. Fire Mountain is truly a hidden gem near Highlands. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain escape with warm, caring hosts, we highly recommend it and would absolutely stay again.

If you're looking for a quiet, remote lodging experience, this is it! Cabins are clean and relatively modern. The location is up an unpaved mountain road. The sunset viewing is fantastic. The owners very graciously left fresh flowers for our arrival and there was apparently a breakfast served one morning for all guests, but we were not informed until it was too late. Its a solid 25 minute drive to Highlands, and a similar distance to any kind of a coffee shop or grocery store, so plan accordingly.

My stay at Fire Mountain Inn & Resort was absolutely wonderful. The cabins were extremely cozy and had such a peaceful, rustic charm. I loved having a fire pit right outside—perfect for relaxing at night and enjoying the fresh mountain air. The star views were incredible and honestly one of the highlights of the trip. It felt like the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway surrounded by nature, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’d love to come back!
