Our stay at Coweeta Creek campground was fantastic! The whole property is beautiful and the creek was wonderful to listen to during our stay. Site #1 is the first one after you go around the loop. There is a flat gravel area to park on, and plenty of room to sit out under the canopy on our van and watch the creek. There’s a decent amount of space between sites, and all our neighbors were very nice and quiet. There’s no cell service (Verizon) so the advice to take screenshots of the important info was so helpful! The internet wasn’t working at first and we wanted to check the weather, but our neighbor wandered up to let them know and they immediately reset it. The bathhouse was huge and very well taken care of. You can tell they really love this property and put a ton of effort into it. We watched the chickens roam and got some farm fresh eggs (which were delish) and firewood for donation, but definitely want to get the honey next time as well! There were some people fishing in the pond, but we didn’t bring our gear this time. Our pup loved swimming in the creek too so we will definitely be back. The hosts were very nice and quick to respond. Looking forward to our next visit!
Aug 12, 2025 · Google ReviewMy family and I stayed at campsite number one. The scenery is beautiful and the whole park is very clean and well laid out. We loved that there was a good amount of space and privacy between the sites. The creek is very soothing and beautiful. It was very convenient having seasoned firewood and fresh farm eggs available to purchase on site. The eggs were delicious and the chickens greet you every time you walk to the bathhouse. Speaking of the bath house it was very clean and the showers were nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. There is an ingles 11 minutes away to stock up on food. There is also a beautiful easy trail 6 minutes away called Tessentee bottomlands preserve. Adam was a very welcoming and attentive host. I would definitely suggest this campground for anyone looking to have a peaceful, private camping experience.
Nov 28, 2025 · Google ReviewThis campground is a hidden gem. Located 1 mile from the main road & nestled on a small creek, away from the noises of the daily life. Easy access for big RVs with no twisty roads to maneuver. Drive down the gravel road, past several old barns, and it’s like traveling back to a simpler time in your life. The campsites are positioned along a picturesque creek, and have the necessary amenities for modern convenience: Water, Electric, and strong WiFi throughout the entire property. The RV spots have sewer connections. All sites are level & well maintained. Clean bathrooms & showers, with plenty of hot water. Fire pits at each site, with firewood available for purchase. Wild flowers throughout the property attract hummingbirds & butterflies. We spotted a few lightning bugs, a small deer, and a tiny fox. Although 3 other groups were present during our stay, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Very quiet & peaceful. The campground has an open field, big enough for various sports & activities. Grocery stores, restaurants, and local businesses are 10-15 minute drive. The camp hosts are extremely friendly & made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We used the campground as a base camp, and traveled every day to enjoy hiking, waterfalls, driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and exploring the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We used our day light productively, and were happy to have a peaceful campsite to return to each evening for campfire dinners & restful nights. We look forward to returning in the near future.
Sep 6, 2024 · Google ReviewAn amazing family campground! This privately owned campground had been around since the late 60’s. Lots of memories were made here. A few years ago, the campground was neglected and not maintained. It has since been sold and the new owners are wanting to return it to an established campground. We stayed at campsite #1. It was very clean and located next to a large creek with just under 1/4 a mile of creek shore to enjoy. Each site had water, electricity and sewer hook up. Like I said, the new owners are renovating, so be patient.
Jul 12, 2023 · Google ReviewAmazing campground! Very quiet and peaceful!Nice river in the background, it is very relaxing. Sites have power and water! Even had WiFi for my wife while working remote. Site host felt more like family than hosts! Will be adding this site to our rotation!
