🌲 Chattahoochee National Forest — Fall Visit We visited Amicalola Falls and Anna Ruby Falls within the Chattahoochee National Forest, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Even with a light mist and overcast skies, the colors of fall painted the landscape in vibrant golds, reds, and deep greens. Amicalola Falls was stunning — the sound of the rushing water against the mountain backdrop was powerful yet peaceful. The trails are well-maintained, and there are several overlooks that make it easy to capture amazing photos from different heights. Anna Ruby Falls offered a beautiful walk through the forest with the sound of the creek following you the whole way. The twin waterfalls at the end are worth every step of the short hike. Driving through the forest — especially the Chestatee Overlook area — felt like a scene from a movie. The winding roads lined with colorful leaves made the journey just as memorable as the destinations. If you love waterfalls, mountain views, and fall colors, this area is a must-visit. Even on a cloudy day, the beauty of nature truly shines here. 🍁
Nov 11, 2025 · Google ReviewAn excellent park. We drove the entire Chattahoochee River Road up and down the mountains and spent a lot of time in the cold Chattahoochee River.

Feb 9, 2026 · Google ReviewSuch a beautiful place! My husband and I took a few hikes and it is so peaceful out there! Highly recommend. Also we came across the Hog Pen Gap for Appalachian Trail. There are signs for different picturesque locations you can stop and take. Check it out if you are in the area.
