This is an absolutely beautiful trail. Where the trail crosses Hemp Patch Branch at the beginning is just stunning. The falls are the perfect ending to an incredible trail. Also try Mooney Falls, Albert Mountain, and Pickens Nose while in this area. They're all great trails and all of them are short enough you can do them the same day.

Not too far from Mooney falls. The trail down to the falls is about a mile but worth the treck. There are a couple of falls to see on the way down. Take your time and enjoy the beauty.

Great, short hike. The surface is quite rooted but otherwise pretty easy. Minimal elevation gain. Scenic creek along the way to the falls. Parking is just the side of the road and easily holds 5-6 vehicles. The trailhead is shared with another trail, but take the split to the right about 50' in. There's a bridge crossing and sign at the beginning of the hike.

This makes for a nice short hike. It is about 1/2 mile out to the waterfall, and another 1/2 mile back. Fairly good trail, with some steps up and down and a few places with some short wooden poles on the ground to step across some wet spots. Lots of laurel bushes. A nice small wooden bridge at the creek crossing at the beginning.

A nice little hike. There is another large waterfall above the initial falls where the trail ends. Small native brook trout live above the falls, and there are primarily wild rainbows below.
